Weekly Round-up #9

Bought: Business Cards

Until recently it never occurred to me that I might need business cards for the blog, but over the last 4 or 5 weeks a few people have asked if I have one to give them. I've been playing around with designs for a couple of weeks and finally decided on the ones in the picture. I knew I wanted them to reflect the style and theme of my blog; simple and clean with the same fonts and header. I'm really happy with how they turned out. I bought them from instantprint.co.uk, and got 100 for just over £12 including delivery. The quality is fantastic (450 gsm) and they were delivered in 2 days. If you're wondering where to get yours from, I'd really recommend them.

Loved: Skyping with my brother

My brother (who I talked about at length in this post) is currently in America, he's been there for a month so far and will probably be there until December. We see each other all the time when he's in Wales so it's really strange not seeing him or hearing his voice for weeks on end, so setting a time for us to catch up on Skype was definitely needed. I really hope this trip is worth it and he comes home happy.

Loathed: Having more tests

I know no-one likes going to the doctor's, but I have a real thing abut it, I get myself all worked up and stressed out and lose sleep over it. On Thursday morning I had an appointment for an ECG and blood tests. Thankfully the ECG was normal and although I have to wait for the blood results, I don't see any problems coming back, so I'm not worried about it.

Listened to: Washington (link)

I've been listening to the same playlist for weeks now, partly because I really love it, and partly because I still haven't transferred all of my music over from my old laptop yet. Washington has been on near constant play this week, with her up beat rhythms and beautiful voice she's an artist I can happily put on repeat and not get bored.

Watched: The League

I LOVE this show! I was introduced to it last year by my brother, and I watched all 5 seasons on Netflix in a little over a week. I've been waiting anxiously for the 6th season for months, and I've just found out that it started in the USA in September, so caught up on all 5 episodes yesterday. If you're unfamiliar with the show; it's a comedy about a group of friends in an American football fantasy league. Thankfully you don't need to know anything about the sport to enjoy the show, because I really don't. every single episode has me laughing more than anything else I can think of (edit: maybe with the exception of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia).

Bloglovin': 100 Followers

I opened my email when I woke up on Friday morning to find that overnight this blog hit 100 followers on Bloglovin'. I'm so happy, thank you all so much! I'm still shocked that anyone bothers to read my ramblings, never mind subscribes to me. You don't know how much I appreciate each and every one of you. It's hard to put into words all that blogging has brought me so far, maybe I'll write a post about it when I can think of how to say it, but that's all thanks to all of you.

Weigh in:  -11.5lb

Last week I told you that I was on a raw cleanse, and how much I didn't enjoy it, well I weighed and it was all worth it, I lost a massive 11.5 pounds in just 6 days! I know that when I try to lose weight the first week is always massive for me, but I was genuinely shocked by how much I lost, I got on and off the scales 3 times just to make sure it was right. To say I'm happy with that is an understatement.

Instagram: I won, again.

Last week Yours Clothing ran a competition to style a new tunic (worth £22) from their autumn/winter collection, the winner would get sent the tunic for free. This is how I chose to style it, and they obviously liked it because I won. I absolutely love it, it's so much nicer in person than in the photo. I see myself getting a lot of wear from this in the next few months.
