Weekly Round-up #10

Bought:  New phone case

I seem to have bought so many phone cases over the last couple of years, and the one thing they all have in common is the price; they were all cheap. Needless to say none of them lasted, so I thought it was about time I invested in a good quality one. The case I chose is made of solid cherry wood, and has a Dalek from Doctor Who engraved on the back. It comes in two sections, you slide your phone into the top section and then push the bottom on. They're both made from the same piece of wood so the design is continuous and you can barely see the join once it's on. I absolutely love it, and although at just over £20 (inc p+p) it's on the pricey side, you can tell it's great quality and I think it's totally worth it. It's one of my favourite buys this year. You can find this case and lots more from 'Not A Scratch' on Etsy.

Loved:  Spending quality time with my Mum

I spend a lot of time with my Mum, she's one of my favourite people in the whole world, but it's often difficult to get out and do something together. This week we went for a pizza and to the cinema (thank you Orange Wednesday's), we saw Lucy which was great. I was expecting a film full of special powers, similar to an X-men type thing, but was pleasantly surprised. I think it's more mature than I thought it would be and my only complaint is that is wasn't long enough.

Loathed:  Getting a cold

The morning after I went to the cinema I woke up with a stinking cold, and it's only got worse since then. I'm sleeping loads and am keeping hydrated though, so hopefully the worst is over and it'll be gone in the next few days.

Watched:  Once Upon a Time

I'm so crazy late to this party! Almost everyone I know has been telling me to watch this show since it started in 2011, but it just never appealed to me. I don't like Disney films in general and I have a real issue with most fairy tales (most portraying women to be in need of rescuing) so I really didn't think I'd like it. Having seen a couple of episodes on Netflix now though, I don't think it's as bad as I was imagining. I don't think it'll ever be my favourite show, but it's watchable.

Listened to:  Spotify playlists

Knowing that the best thing for me is sleep isn't easy, I've always had trouble falling asleep, so to try and relax more I've been listening to lots of Spotify. There are some really great playlists on there, but I do find the ad's really annoying. I might just have to bite the bullet and pay for an account so I don't have to listen to them.

ReadThe Hungry Welsh Vegan

The Hungry Welsh Vegan is a relatively new food blog written by the lovely Sam. Her food pictures always look amazing and inspire me to be a bit more adventurous in the kitchen. Whilst I love some of the bigger vegan food blogs, there is something about a newbie blogger, especially one who lives in my country, meaning that I can get my hands on any ingredient she has in her recipe. Sam really is one of the nicest people I've met through blogging, and I honestly think her blog deserves way more credit than it's currently getting. If you like pretty healthy food, go and check it out, I'm sure you'll find something that you'll like.
