As you'll have guessed by now if you read my Manicure Monday posts on a regular basis, I do love a good glitter nail polish, especially when it's made by one of my favourite brands. So when I saw that Barry M were releasing some limited edition glitter toppers I knew I had to get my hands on at least one of them. Thankfully Santa decided I'd been a good girl this year and brought me two of them, the one I have on my nails at the moment is Jingle Bells, a Superdrug exclusive.
Jingle Bells is a clear polish packed with gold and red glitter of different shapes and sizes, as well as sparkly silver stars. There's plenty of glitter in the bottle and I didn't need to do any placement. The photo here shows Jingle Bells over two coats of Barry M's Bright Red, which is one of my favourite ever reds, but any red would do for this look.
For a glitter topper, I'm quite impressed with the coverage you get from Jingle Bells, and the fact that I didn't have to 'fish' for the glitter is great. I think there are so many shades of polish that this would look great over, but seeing as it's New Year's Eve in just a couple of days, I thought I'd stick with the festive mood and go for something quite traditional. I did feel the need to use a top coat with this, because of the different shapes and sizes it felt bumpy without, but Seche Vite smoothed that out.
Barry M Jingle Bells is available from Superdrug online and in stores nation wide, while stocks last, for £3.99 (or free when you spend £6 on selected Barry M products).
I really love this glitter and can't stop staring at my nails, what do you think of it?
