As someone pointed out on my Instagram account last week, I've been all about the traditional autumn/winter shades recently, and this week is no different. Plum from ELF is a deep purple based burgundy creme that almost looks black in the shade, but in the light is the colour you see below.
The formula on this polish is typical of the brand; very smooth and requires only 2 coats to be fully opaque. The photo shows the polish with top coat, though if you don't want it to be super glossy you could definitely skip it. I really like the nail polishes from ELF, in my opinion they apply and perform much better than a lot of brands that cost 4 or 5 as much.
The brush is a little annoying, it hasn't been put on at the right angle, so in order to paint my nails with the flat side of the brush I have to hold the rectangular handle diagonally, which is awkward and a bit annoying. Perhaps that's why the polish only cost £1, but I love the shade and the finish so much that I'm happy to work with an awkward brush.
ELF nail polish in Plum is available from eyeslipsface.co.uk for £1 (rrp £2.50).
What do you think of this polish?
