Weekly Round-Up #2

As I enjoyed doing this post so much last week I thought I would carry it on this week. This past week has been a pretty good one for me, my finances seem better and I've been able to do a lot more which has been great!

Loved: Seeing my Dad and Step-Mum

It's been a few weeks since I last spent time with my Dad and Step-Mum, so getting to see them for a few hours was great. Dad made the most gorgeous veggie burgers I think I've ever had, the only thing is he never writes his recipes down so I doubt I'll ever get them the same again.

Loathed: Menstrual Cramps

Need I say more?

Laughed at: The Last Leg

I love this show! It's on Channel 4 on Friday nights (though you can watch it on 4 on demand if you want to catch up). For those of you unfamiliar with the show; it started off as a nightly round-up of the day's action at the Paralympic Games in 2012. Since then it has had a further 3 series' talking about the news of the week, in a comedic way.

Cried at: Robin Williams passing away

I actually surprised myself at how much the death of Robin Williams has affected me, I think it's not so much the loss of him (I didn't know him after all) but rather memories that it brought up. It's definitey been an emotional week.

Watched: True Blood

I started watching this when it first came out, I saw the first couple of seasons but then I think the channel changed in the UK because I never saw it on and I kind of forgot about it. I've recently found the box sets though so have started watching it again and I'm enjoying it more than the first time around. It'll take me a while to catch up but I'm happy to get stuck in.

Listened to: Ben Howard - Every Kingdom

I've had this album since it came out in 2011, and I love it just as much now as I did then. It's the perfect album to put on if I'm blogging, reading, playing poker or pretty much any activity. It doesn't take any concentration and is so calming and beautiful.

Read: Plain Yet Maintained (link)

This is another blog that I've been reading for months now, and it's one of my favourites. I love the writing style and the beauty reviews are always spot on. Unfortunately there hasn't been much from her for a while but I've been going through old posts, ones that went up before I discovered her.

What have you been up to this week?

P.S.  Don't forget that my competition is still open (at the time of writing this), click here to find out more.
