Weekly Round-up #4

Loved: Meeting my brother's girlfriend

My brother has been dating someone for quite a while now, but I've never has the chance to meet her. It's been planned numerous times but something always happens that means either he has to cancel or I do. This time everything went according to plan and I finally got to meet her and her beautiful daughter. The first time meeting someone can be quite awkward, but I instantly felt at ease with her, she really is as lovely as he said.

Loathed: Spiders

I was laying on my bed on Tuesday night and a spider the size of a small cat decided to pop by and say hello, about 2 inches away from my face. Needless to say I screamed blue murder and ran to get help. As it turns out, he/she was just the start of the problem, there were loads of the little buggers! I ended up having to spend two nights on the sofa as I couldn't go back into my room, which caused all sorts of issues with my back and hips. It's been interesting, that's for sure.

Laughed at: Spiders

Yep, as much as I hate them and the whole situation, it was hilarious. Trying to blast it out of it's hiding place with a hair dryer at 3am (and failing) was like something out of a slap-stick comedy. I wish you could have seen us jumping and squealing at every little thing, you'd think we were 5 years old's.

Watched: Under the Dome

You can definitely tell that autumn is on its way; all of my favourite TV shows are coming back on. I loved the first season of Under the Dome and it left on such a cliff-hanger than I couldn't wait for it to come back, and the first episode certainly didn't disappoint.

Read: Makeup Guinea Pig (link)

I've been a subscriber of this blog since the start of the year, and it's one of the few that I read every single post from. It's a cruelty-free beauty blog based out of the USA and the woman behind it, Christine, is so lovely. I follow her on all social media platforms and have to say that her Pinterest is one of my faves.

Listened to: Twilight Forever

Yes, I'm well aware that I'm about 20 years older than I should be to love anything from Twilight (I feel so old writing that) but I really love this album. It includes all of the love songs from the franchise, and although I'm not currently dating anyone, that doesn't mean I can't enjoy a good soppy album on my own. I've been winding down the past few nights with a dim lit bedroom and soothing music, and this album has featured heavily in that routine.

Ate: Curry, so much curry!

As I told you in this post, curry is one of my favourite foods. I love all kinds; hot and spicy, mild, sweet, as long as it's vegan and coconut-free I'll happily shovel it into my mouth by the spoon full. This week I've actually had 3 different curries on 4 different occasions and I've loved every single one of them. Perhaps it's because he weather is cooling down now (yay for autumn!) but I just can't get enough of it at the moment.

Bought: Mr Men and Little Miss pencil case/make-up bag

Seriously, how cute is this? I only bought a new make-up bag a couple of weeks ago, but I just had to have this when I saw it, so the other one is now my Mums. It was only £2.99 from B&M Bargains, and it's the perfect size to fit my medication and make-up and throw it into my handbag. On the other side it has 4 Mr Men too, but this is the side that drew me in.

I also bought quite a few items of clothing in the end of summer sales, but as most of them aren't on sale anymore I didn't think it'd be fair to show you, especially as they were all so cheap (I don't want to make you jealous haha).

Social Media: Instagram

I was lucky enough to be featured by China Glaze a few days ago, they regrammed my Cuticle Care Routine, and for a few days after that my phone was going mental! I gained loads of new followers on Instagram and got a heck of a lot more blog visits than I usually do. So, thank you China Glaze, you rock!

How was your week? Get up to anything exciting?
