Serenata Flowers | Review & Giveaway

If you've been visiting my blog on Sundays over the last couple of months, you'll no doubt have noticed that I have a bit of a thing for photographing flowers. Whether that's in my garden, in the wild or a bunch I have in the house, I just love all different kinds. You can imagine my delight then when I opened an email from Serenata Flowers asking if I wanted to receive a bouquet* from them. Just wait until you see them, they're stunning!

Serenata Flowers Review

After a quick peruse of the website, I decided to order the deluxe peonies. I adore peonies; The look of them, the scent and the luxury that they encapsulate all make them feel so much more special than the regular bunches of flowers I frequently pick up in my local florists. Although peonies do come in a variety of colours, the bouquet from Serenata is made up of shades of pink, which I was really pleased about. As you may be able to tell from the first photo, I do have a bit of a thing for pink.

Delivery was super quick, it only took two days from placing my order (which I did on a Sunday) to the courier knocking my door, plus next day delivery in the UK is free, they also offer international delivery. It may be because I'm a bit of a Scrooge, but I hate paying for delivery, I'd rather pay a couple of pound extra and get free shipping.

I don't know what I was expecting, perhaps a long box with flowers laid out flat ready to be arranged, but I was very pleasantly surprised with what greeted me as I opened the door. The courier handed over a huge brown box that was upright and pretty heavy, much heavier than I expected it to be. Once I opened it I was gobsmacked, and that's not an exaggeration. I was actually sat there with my mouth agape for a few seconds, totally stunned at the beauty of the peonies, and best of all, they were already arranged! Inside the big box is a smaller one, that is shaped perfectly to fit the flowers meaning that they don't rattle around and get damaged during transit. They also come in a securely packaged pot of water, so you don't have to worry about them not being their freshest when they arrive at the destination.

The bouquet was perfectly arranged and wrapped in silver tissue paper and clear cellophane, all tied together with a rustic looking bow as you can see in the above picture. It even came with a little tag telling you who arranged the flowers for you. Thank you, Margret, I think you did an amazing job. The standard peony bouquet (£34.99) consists of ten peonies, but the deluxe option (£39.98) that I chose contains fifteen.

There's no way I could write a post about flowers as special as these without numerous photos to show you the different varieties of peonies in the bouquet, I hope you don't mind so many photos in a blog post. As you can see, there are at least five different types in there and weaved throughout are tiny green flowers that look like teeny tiny daffodils, which are the ideal accompaniments.

I really cannot convey just how in love I am with this bouquet, I cannot stop staring at them and my bedroom smells gorgeous. I find that often in local florists, flowers can either have no scent at all, or all smell the same. It's that forcibly-grown artificial smell that I really dislike, but these peonies smell fresh, fragrant and natural, everything you could want in an arrangement.

If you're looking for a beautiful bouquet for someone special, or even as a treat for yourself, I'd highly recommend checking out the Serenata Flowers website. You'll also find other gifts on there such as food hampers, chocolates, wines, balloons and stuffed toys, so there really is something for everyone.
