Weekly Round-up #6

Before I get started on this post I have to apologise; my (new) laptop is in the shop being fixed so I have to write this on my phone. I can't add photos and have no idea how it's going to come out but I didn't want to miss the post.

Loved :  Pushing myself

I haven't been feeling great this week, so have wanted to do very little. Even though I really haven't felt up to doing much I've still forced myself to get up, put on my face and smile. Sometimes that's the best we can do and I'm proud of myself for managing it.

Loathed :  My laptop crashing

As I told you in this post I bought a new laptop back in June, everything has been going great with it. I've taught myself to use Windows 8 and I'm getting used to the new layout, but on Friday morning, I was watching Netflix and suddenly the internet dropped out. It looks like it's a virus that came from installing McAfee, which is ridiculous considering it's supposed to stop viruses.

Laughed at :  A League of Their Own

This programme always makes me laugh. If you're unfamiliar with the show; it's a comedy panel sports quiz with 3 regular team members; Freddie Flintoff, Jack Whitehall and Jamie Redknapp and is hosted by James Cordon. Every week they have 3 guests from the sporting world, and the results just crack me up. The challenges that they do are brilliant.

I've been reading this book on and off for a few weeks now, only reading small amounts at a time, but this week I've got through a big chunk of it (more on that in a future post) and am almost finished. Sophie Kinsella is one of my favourite authors, her books remind me of a more grown up version of the Sweet Valley High books, did you ever read those? I used to love them!

Ate:  So much vegan junk food

My mother and I have decided that we're going to lose weight, starting tomorrow, so this week we've been clearing out the cupboards of any rubbish. I didn't realise how much I had lying around, and to be honest, I'll be glad when it's gone.

Bought:  Lipstick

Marks and Spencer have brought out new lip products that are suitable for vegans, and I felt that it was my duty to try them (at least that's what I'm telling myself to justify it). I bought a new Matt Velvet lipstick and another of the Ultimate Wear lipsticks, you can see my review of my last one here. As soon as I get my laptop back I'll put up reviews and swatches. Both are gorgeous colours that are perfect for autumn.

Instagram:  veganmakeupshare

I was lucky enough to be asked by the beautiful @creestaaal to answer a few questions about being vegan and living cruelty-free. I've followed her account pretty much since I joined Instagram over 2 years ago, so was very flattered, especially as the person before me was the lovely Sunny of Vegan Beauty Review, who I look up to so much.

Listened to:  Audrey Ryan (link)

The first song I heard by this artist was Arm Yourself, and I fell in love with it. It fits in perfectly with my musical taste at the moment, which is a bit more chilled than it used to be. You may know this song from Dance Moms, Brooke danced a solo to it.

I'm really sorry for the lack of photos in this post, I never write posts without any pictures, but I had to do the best I could with what I have at the moment. Fingers crossed I'll get my computer back tomorrow, I feel like I've lost a part of me.
