Barry M original Nail Paints are some of my favourite nail polishes to work with, I'm yet to find one that I don't absolutely adore, so when they released a few more shades a couple of months ago I went straight to the Superdrug website to snap them up. There were three new shades released, the one I'm wearing this week is Vintage Violet.
As with the majority of Barry M Nail Paints, you really do know what you're getting by the name of the polish. Vintage Violet is an almost dirty looking violet creme. With hints of grey and brown, it's the kind of shade you'd expect to see in an old photo that maybe hasn't aged too well. I just love it!
The formula didn't disappoint either, it was very easy to work with and only took two coats to get the coverage you see here. Because it was so smooth it doesn't require top coat, but I was impatient so added Seche Vite to speed up drying time.
I think this shade is perfect for a winter to spring transition, it's not too bright but equally isn't so deep that it looks like it belongs in the dark winter months. It's something that I don't feel I've seen that often.
Barry M Nail Paint in Vintage Violet is available online and from Superdrug stores nation wide and online for £2.99.
