ELF Flawless Concealer Brush | Review

Up until last year I always used my fingers for my concealer, but after falling in love with so many other brushes for different uses I thought it was about time I went on the hunt for a concealer brush too. After trying a few hit and miss brushes from different brands I eventually tried the Flawless Concealer Brush from ELF, and have used it every day since.

The brush is from ELF's Studio line, so has their signature black taklon bristles and sturdy black plastic handle. Although it's relatively dense, it's quite a fluffy brush, so blends concealer like nothing else I've ever tried, and because the bristles are synthetic it's perfect for liquid, cream or powder concealers. The bristles are very soft, which is always a good thing, especially when you intend to use the brush close to your eyes. Although it's a fluffy brush, I don't have any problems getting into the nooks and crannies of my face, such as beneath my eyes or around my nose.

When blending concealer around my eyes I tend to stipple this over the skin, and I find that using the brush this way helps to blend the product into my skin flawlessly whilst still giving the highest coverage possible. Over blemishes and around my nose and chin I either stipple it again or use small circular motions, which leaves a slightly lower coverage but is very quick and, again, leaves a fantastic finish.

I have two of these brushes, so I always have one clean and ready to use, and have washed them both countless times and I haven't had any shedding from either of them. They clean up really well and with very little effort, even though I use a fairly heavy duty liquid concealer that can take a bit of work to remove from other brushes I've used.

I'm so impressed with the Flawless Concealer Brush that I'd recommend it to anyone, and its affordable price means that it's accessible to all. If anything ever happened to either of my brushes I'd definitely buy a replacement as soon as I could, and I can't say that about too many beauty products. This brush really is an absolute essential in my make-up routine.

ELF Flawless Concealer Brush is available from the ELF website for £3.95.

Do you use any brushes from ELF? Which is your favourite?
