ELF Haul

As I reported on my Facebook page a few days ago, ELF currently has a great sale on with up to 70% off. If you spend over £20 you get a free mystery gift and free shipping. Being a bit of a bargain shopper I couldn't let this offer go unused. Shipping only took 5 days, including bank holiday and weekend, I was pretty impressed with that. Here is what I bought:

Primer Eyeshadow in Misty Mauve - £1.25

I absolutely love the ELF Eye Shadow Primer and use it almost every day, so when I saw a coloured version of this at such a great price I had to try it. I love the shade I chose so hopefully it meets my high expectations.

Tinted Moisturiser in Porcelain - £2.25

I'm not really one for tinted moisturisers, I much prefer a proper foundation, but at only £2.25 I thought it was worth giving this a try. Unfortunately the shade is way too dark for me, even though I chose the lightest they had, so I will be giving this to my Mum.

Baked Blushes in Rich Rose, Peachy Cheeky, Pinktastic and Passion Pink - £1.98 each

The one area of my make-up collection I am lacking in is the blush department. There are very few that I have ever really liked and since having thrown a lot of my old collection out I am only left with a couple. These Baked Blushes look gorgeous, they have a really pretty sheen, so if you're a fan of matte cheeks I don't think you'd like these. Rich Rose is said to be a dupe for the popular MAC Stereo Rose, but I don't own that so can't compare. With a light hand I think a couple of these could work really well as highlighters too.

Baked Bronzer in St. Lucia - £1.98

I have a few matte bronzers that I use for contouring, but don't own any that I would use to add colour to my face, so when I saw swatches of St. Lucia I knew it was the one for me. It's pretty light so won't look too heavy on my fair skin and has a lovely glow.

Nail Polish in Plum - £1.00

This shade is right up my street, it's the kind of polish I would happily wear all autumn/winter long and already have a few quite similar. I have bought a few shades from this line and am really happy with them all so far.

Mineral Lipstick in Barely Bitten, Runway Pink and Cheerful Cherry - £2.00 each

Having bought a few lipsticks from ELF in the past, I am very aware that the colour you think you are buying can often turn out to look completely different in person. So, I was really happy when these came, they all look exactly as I thought they would. As they only came today I haven't worn them yet so don't know their wear time etc, but for £2 a pop I don't think I'll have any complaints.

As I mentioned, because I spent over £20 I also got a free gift. When you go to check out you are presented with 3 options, I chose the 'Movie Star' option, being a fan of a bold lip I thought it was the one most suited to me. I was right, I love everything in it!

Flirty Lash Collection - £4.95 value

Over the past year or so I have gotten into fake lashes, not so much for everyday wear, but for nights out/special occasions. I haven't tried any from ELF yet, but I love the look of these, and the fact that you get a full set, half set, glue and tweezers is great!

Eye Brightener - £3.95 value

I've never bought a product specifically aimed at brightening your eyes, I tend to use a light eye shadow or pencil, so am happy to try something new. This is a small pot with a sifter lid, needing to use so little of it at a time I can see this lasting quite a while.

Waterproof Eye Liner Crayon in Gunmetal - £3.95 value

I'm so happy they didn't include a standard black eye liner in this kit, I have more than I need of those already. This shade is gorgeous, and having swatched it on the back of my hand a few hours ago, I feel confident saying that it's pretty long lasting. It hasn't budged, even though I've been moving around and playing with my dog. Anything that lives up to its waterproof or budge proof claims is a winner in my books.

Jumbo Lip Gloss Stick in Movie Star - £2.95 value

This product clearly gave the free gift its name, and the shade matches it perfectly. It's a beautiful pink/red without any glitter. I already own one of these crayons, but this is much nicer than the one I bought. I can see myself getting a lot of use from this.

Free gift value = £15.80

Overall I'm really happy with everything I bought, I can't complain too much about the tinted moisturiser as most of the fairest shades by any brand are too dark for me, so I kind of expected it. I'm most excited by the lip products though.

Have you, or will you, take advantage of the great offers on at ELF? What have you got your eye on?
