Manicure Monday | Models Own - Turquoise Gloss

After the muted tones of the past few Mani Monday's I'm back this week with a bright polish that's perfect for spring/summer. Turquoise Gloss from Models Own HyperGel collection is a gorgeous glossy creme polish with a colour that looks lovely against my very fair skin.

This is the first time I've tried anything from their HyperGel collection, and I have to say that I'm quite impressed with it. As usual the brush was great, one of my favourites because it's pretty wide which makes application easier, but I still somehow managed a slightly sloppy curve around the cuticle, perhaps painting my nails in artificial light at midnight should become a thing of the past.

Turquoise Gloss is such a beautiful shade; it's pleasantly bright without being obnoxious, is blue enough that it doesn't fall into the 'just another green' category and I think would look just as lovely on deeper skin as it does on my fair skin.

The formula is pretty decent, but is slightly thicker than I would like. Application was smooth but I'd only just opened the bottle, I have a feeling that this is a polish that's going to turn gloopy quickly. Still, that wasn't enough to put me off it and I'd certainly reach for this again when the warmer months roll around. It was also fast drying, faster than I expected actually which I'm always pleased about because that meant I didn't have to use top coat, and just look how shiny it is on its own!

I plan on picking up a couple more shades from this collection next time Models Own have another 6 for £20 offer on, in fact I already have my wish list written.

Models Own HyperGel polish in Turquoise Gloss is available online and from Superdrug stores nation wide and online for £4.99.

What do you think of this shade? If you have a favourite Models Own polish please let me know in the comments.
