KAYA Pure Foot Scrub | Review

As I mentioned in Wednesday's post, I've been trying to get my feet back in good condition. Wearing sandals all summer long has left them a little worse for wear, so I've been looking for products that will help to buff away the dry skin and leave them feeling softer and looking a little more presentable, even if they are just going to be hidden away in boots for the next few months. I was kindly sent the 'KAYA, Soften Those Toes!'* scrub from KAYA Pure, and have to say that it's helped tremendously!

The scrub comes packaged in a silver foil packet, which I couldn't open so I cut it with scissors. On the front of the packet is all of the info you may need; ingredients, directions for use and a description that just made me want to dive right in. Even before I opened the envelope which the scrub was delivered in I could smell it, it's heavenly! If you like a strong peppermint scent you'll love this, and the smell gets stronger as it comes into contact with hot water, something that I really enjoyed.

To use I simply emptied the amount in the picture above into the palm of my hand and started rubbing it all over my feet, in between the toes and up to my ankles. I chose to do this in the shower without the water running, I didn't want to get the scrub all over my floor but I also didn't want the water to dissolve it until I was ready. It didn't take very long before I felt my feet were smoother and a lot of the dry skin had been buffed away. It only took a few minutes on each foot before I was ready to rinse the scrub away, and I felt the difference immediately.

The inclusion of almond oil made sure that the salt and sugar had something to grip onto whilst I was scrubbing and it also left my feet (and my hands actually) feeling hydrated after I'd washed the scrub off. The scrubby particles to oil ratio is perfect, meaning that you get a good scrub from it whilst not having to use too much in one go, so one pouch of 250g should last you a few uses.

Over all I really like this foot scrub, I might even go as far as to say I love it! It's not overly oily, contains natural ingredients and smells glorious. Another thing I love is the company's ethos, they are very environmentally aware, never test on animals, all of their scrubs are vegan and they buy from small, family run companies. While the price tag of £13 may seem a little steep for a scrub, it will last a long time and you really are paying for quality. Personally I think £13 is reasonable for the standard you're getting, and you know I like to save as much money as possible.

There are 4 scrubs in the range; KAYA, Detox Me! Which is a facial scrub designed to clear pores and remove any traces of dirt or make-up. KAYA, Wake Me Up! Which is a coffee based scrub for smoothing lumps and bumps. KAYA, Indulge Me! Which contains pink Himalayan salt and rose to leave you soft and smooth and feeling pampered, and the one I have here, KAYA, Soften Those Toes! The ingredients for this scrub are:

Gozitan Sea Salt, Sea Salt, Sugar, Almond Oil, Peppermint Oil and Tea Tree Oil.

KAYA, Soften Those Toes! foot scrub is available from KAYA Pure's website for £13.

What do you think, have I tempted you into trying out KAYA Pure? I really don't think you'd regret it if you did.
