Manicure Monday | ELF - Cranberry

I've had this polish for months now but haven't touched it. To be honest, when it came (I think it was in the spring) I decided I was going to wait until autumn to wear it, so I put it away in a drawer and completely forgot about it. Whilst having a tidy up last week I found it, and I think it's just perfect for autumn/winter.

As you've probably noticed by now, my favourite nail polish formula is a glossy creme, so with this containing micro shimmer I'm surprised at how much I really do like it. The shimmer doesn't look glittery or sparkly at all, it just gives the polish a nice sheen which looks really pretty in direct light.

The ELF nail polish brushes are fantastic, the width is perfect and it's so easy to control, meaning I never have too much clean up to do. The above photo shows 2 coats with top coat, though you definitely don't need to wear top coat for shine, it's perfectly fine on it's own. The formula was really good, it didn't drag at all and wasn't streaky. Dry time was a bit longer than I'm used to, but I topped it with Seche Vite so that helped considerably.

I have very few full size polishes from ELF, but I don't know why I haven't bought more; the price is amazing, they apply really nicely and they're 3 free. I'll be picking up some more next time they have a 50% off event, that's for sure.

ELF Nail Polish in Cranberry is available from their website for only £1 (rrp £2.50).

Have you tried any polishes from ELF? What do you think of this shade?
