Manicure Monday | Barry M - Burgundy Crush

As I've mentioned lots of times already, I'm a total sucker for all things burgundy, especially in the colder months, I'm also a fan of matte nails, so combine the two and you're onto a real winner with me. Burgundy Crush from Barry M is the best example of this that I own, so that's what I'm wearing this week.

Barry M Burgundy Crush

As is customary with Barry M, you know exactly the shade you're going to end up with from the product name, it really is the most perfect burgundy shade I own, and the matte finish gives it a little something extra. As much as I love a super glossy manicure, every now and then I do crave something slightly different, so the Matte collection is ideal if you still want classic colours.

The formula was easy enough to work with, but I did find it a bit on the thick side. Still, it wasn't sticky and it went on smoothly and evenly without leaving any bumps or bubbles. Dry time was also pretty good, which is essential with a matte polish as I can't speed it up with Seche Vite like I usually would with a glossy nail polish.

All in all, I think this is a really good polish to have in your collection, the shade is a classic so won't ever go out of style but the finish gives it a slight edge. I think for just £4 I'll be getting a few more shades from the Matte range over the coming months.

Barry M Matte Nail Paint in Burgundy Crush is available online for £3.99.

What finish is your favourite: Gloss, satin or matte?
