The Make-up Wipes You Need in Your Life

It's not very often that I see a vegan product raved about on any of my favourite blogs, so when I do I sit up and take notice. This was the case when I read a review of the Superdrug Micellar Cleansing Facial Wipes over on Miss Makeup Magpie.

Superdrug Micellar Cleansing Wipes review

I don't use make-up remover wipes anywhere near as much as I used to, in my early twenties they were the only way I'd cleanse my face morning at night, and my skin really suffered for it, so I eventually turned away from them completely. However, now that I blog I find myself with stains on my hand/arms a fair bit from swatching products. Some of them are easily removed with the B. Quick 4 in 1 Cleansing Wipes, but some of them are too stubborn even for those.

The Superdrug Micellar Cleansing Wipes beats any other make-up removal wipe I've ever tried hands down. Long wearing foundation, liquid lipsticks, eyeliner and even waterproof mascara have all been swiped away so easily that you'd be forgiven for thinking that I didn't have anything on my hand or face to begin with. Do you remember the old TV adverts of an oven cleaner (I think it was Mr Muscle), one swipe and the grease just disappeared? That's the effect these wipes have, you can actually see fingers marks in your foundation, which looks gross, but shows that the wipes are really effective.

It only takes one wipe to remove a full face of pretty heavy make-up, that's including liquid lipstick and waterproof mascara! So one pack of 25 wipes will last almost a month if you just use them to take off your make-up. As for swatches, which is why I originally bought them, they get rid of everything, and with ease.

I have sensitive skin on my hands and face, and haven't had any negative reactions from using these at all, there's no dry feeling afterwards and although my skin doesn't feel moisturised, it does feel squeaky clean.  I've even used these to remove eyeliner from my waterline and they didn't sting or irritate my eyes at allThere's no distinct scent to the wipes, they contain the perfect amount of moisture and they're really soft too, so they feel lovely as you're using them.

Priced at just £1.29 for a pack of 25, these are an absolute bargain. I'll definitely be picking up some more when I'm close to finishing the pack I already have.

Have you tried these wipes yet? What are your favourites if you haven't?

UPDATE:  After some prolonged use I've developed a rather nasty itchy rash on my face, and the only thing that I can attribute it to is these wipes. Whilst everything I said in this review (besides the "haven't had any negative reactions") still stands, I will only be using them for my eye make-up and hand swatches from now on. Please don't be put off by my experience, as I said, I do have sensitive skin so you could very well be fine with them.
