Over the last year or so I've been utterly obsessed with finding the perfect body butter for me. I was looking for something that was thick but not greasy, hydrating but sinks in fast and preferably with an amazing scent too. After reading a review of the Cherry and Macadamia Body Butter from Superdrug I knew I had to try it, and it didn't disappoint.
With a scent very reminiscent of a creamy cherry flavoured yoghurt, this product smells divine, almost good enough to eat. But scent is neither here nor there, the product has to actually be good, and thankfully this body butter is.
As you can see from the above photo the product had all slipped to one side of the tub, but after evening it out I could see that it was full, something that I suspected may not have been the case. You get a generous 200ml of product in the plastic tub, and it has a screw off lid, which I actually prefer to a pump bottle.
The body butter is super thick in consistency, and you only need a small amount per application, so this one tub will last a while. I use a finger tip sized amount for my elbows, or double or triple it for my arms and legs, so although 200ml may not seem like a lot, you should get a lot of used from it.
I found that it sinks in very fast, in fact I can use this straight out of the shower and get dressed immediately afterwards, something I can't say about a lot of thick body products. It leaves my skin feeling nourished and soft and the feeling lasts until I next shower, which makes it the perfect body moisturiser to use after an evening shower. I'm also happy to say that the scent lingers too, I can still smell the slightly sweet fruity/nutty fragrance the following morning, so if you prefer your body products to not interfere with your perfume it's something worth noting.
In all honesty I can't find a single downside to this cream; it's possibly the best smelling body product I've ever used, makes my skin feel lovely and soft, will last a long time and is cheap too. In fact I'd go as far as to say it's possibly the best body butter I've tried thus far, I'll definitely be re-purchasing this as soon as I run out.
Superdrug Black Cherry and Macadamia Nuts Body Butter is available online and in stores nation wide for £3.99.
