The Vegan Kind Beauty Box #6 | First Impressions

If you've read my last few posts about The Vegan Kind Beauty Box you'll know that I've been on the fence about keeping my subscription for a while. I've been both very impressed and really disappointed with them over the last year, so I decided that this quarter's box was going to be the deciding factor, if I like it it's staying and if I don't I'm cancelling.

The Vegan Kind Beauty Box

Amie Morning Clear Purifying Facial Wash

Because I double cleanse I get through cleanser/face wash at a remarkable rate, so I was happy to see one in the box this time around. Although it's labelled as a face wash, it does appear to be more of a thick cleanser. When I see something described as a 'face wash' I immediately think of a foaming wash that will inevitably dry my skin out, however, this one from Amie appears to be a heavy and thick lotion, so I'm looking forward to giving this a go.

Saturated Colour KISStick - Flirty Fuchsia

As a self-confessed lipstick addict, I'm always delighted to see any lip product included in beauty boxes, but the fact that this shade is right up my alley makes it even more impressive. I'm yet to try anything from Saturated Colour so I can't wait to see how this holds up to testing, so far all I know is that I couldn't get the colour off my arm from the swatch so it may be really long lasting.

Barry M Radiant Rod Highlighter

I love me a new highlighter, and as you may know already, I'm a huge fan of Barry M, so to see one of their new vegan products in the box made me very happy. I have a couple of other stick highlighters and really like them for a more natural look, so can't wait to try this and see how it compares.

Sacred Elephant Sandalwood Incense & Holder

I'm really surprised and disappointed that these two products are in a beauty box. If they were included in the regular The Vegan Kind lifestyle box I think it would have been a great addition, but I didn't sign up for a beauty subscription to receive lifestyle bits. To be honest it feels as if they've included them as a filler as if they had no more beauty products so included these and counted them as two products.

I'm really happy with three of the products in this quarter's box and am left scratching my head over two, but when you compare the entire thing with the last box The Vegan Kind produced you can see the huge difference in quality. Unfortunately, I have now cancelled my subscription for good and won't be tempted back like I have been previously.

Total RRP £21.19

You can subscribe to The Vegan Kind Beauty Box for £15 plus p&p every 3 months.

I'd love to know your opinions on this box and if you'd be as miffed as I am.
