As you may have gathered if you saw my post on Wednesday, I'm back. Thankfully after almost five weeks of trial and error I am now able to see properly and the pain in my eye and face has totally gone. So, I thought I'd write a little post just to thank you all for the many emails, tweets, Facebook messages etc. that I've received over the last month.
There are some messages I've had that are so sweet they've made me cry and some that are so funny I've had a good chuckle, but the one thing they all had in common was the care behind the words. I've been offered support, help with the blog, medical advice and all sorts of other things, which, to be honest, has totally blown my mind.
Before I started blogging I used to read how it was a "community", and over the last year or so I've really noticed that too, but I had no idea how much that community would become some of my best friends, even those I've not met in real life. The women (and I say that because I'm yet to be friends with a blogger who doesn't identify as such) that have been there to prop me up, talk me down and comfort me while I wasn't doing too well are just some of the kindest and most thoughtful people I've ever had the pleasure of talking to.
I did consider making this post a bit of a love-in, where I'd name and link the people/blogs that have really stood out, but I'm so scared of missing someone off the list that I've had a re-think. I'd hate to leave someone out after they've been so good to me. So, I'll leave it there, with a giant THANK YOU if, over the last few weeks, you've left a kind comment, tweet or anything else. You have all helped more than you know.
