Nightshade from Barry M is a polish that I bought as soon as it was released a year ago but put it into my 'not on the blog' box and totally forgot about it. Whilst digging through my polishes for this week's manicure I was really excited to find it again and couldn't wait to get it on my nails.
This is one shade that's really hard to describe; In the above photo it looks like a very deep navy blue, but it also contains obvious purple tones and in some lights I can even see a touch of green. It's something that is pretty difficult to come by in a créme formula but is so unique that I just love it. From a distance you'd be forgiven for thinking that it's a basic black polish, so if you like really dark nails but are unsure of rocking black, this could be just the shade you're looking for.
As with most other Barry M nail polishes, Nightshade has the perfect formula; It was smooth and easy to apply, opaque in two coats and dried with a lovely gloss finish. I'm not wearing top coat in this photo and just look how shiny it is! I really hope that Barry M release some more shades in their classic Nail Paint collection soon, it's by far my favourite of theirs.
Barry M Nightshade is available online and in Superdrug stores nationwide for £2.99.
What do you think of this shade, is it something you'd wear this time of year?
