P2 Gold & Crown Most Wanted Eyebrow Gel | Review

When I first saw the P2 Gold & Crown Eyebrow Gel on the Instagram account of the wonderful Kat from Vegan Beauty Studio, I went a little bit gaga over it. I've been looking for a vegan dupe for the Benefit Gimme Brow for months now but every product I found was either tested on animals or contained animal derived ingredients, so seeing that one suitable for vegans was available I knew I had to get my hands on it. There was only one problem, I couldn't find it online anywhere, it only seemed to be available in mainland Europe. After talking with Kat, she very kindly offered to send it to me.

As you can see, the brush on this brow gel is tiny, it's exactly the kind of brush I've been searching for. It's the perfect length and width to use on even the thinnest part of my eyebrows, and the length of the wand is very easy to control. Because the lid is square instead of round I find that easier and more comfortable in the hand too, so I have complete control over the product as I'm applying it.

When I initially pull the wand from the tube I do find that I get a little too much product on it, so I always have to wipe off the excess on the neck of the tube, but that's no bother. The gel is available in 2 shades; 010 Gentle Brunette and 020 Brilliant Brown, which is the shade I have. I currently have medium brunette hair and this is a great colour match for me. It's not too warm toned either, but equally doesn't look ashy.

Whilst the gel doesn't contain fibres, so it doesn't add a lot of extra thickness to the brows, it does help fill them in somewhat and if you had reasonable brows to start with I think you would love this product. I have very sparse hairs in my brows, so always need to fill them in completely, I can't get away with just a gel, no matter how much I love it. It does a great job of setting the hairs in place though, and I find that they stay put all day long. While I may not have the bushiest brows in the world, the hairs I do have are pretty unruly and I often find them sticking up in unusual ways throughout the day, but this gel sets them in place until I'm ready to take my make-up off.

Overall I really do like this brow gel, in fact I might just love it! It's a perfect colour match for me, gives definition if that's all you need, sets the hairs in place all day, and while I wouldn't say it's waterproof, I have been out in the rain wearing this and it didn't move. I'm thoroughly impressed with it, especially considering its low price. I was actually debating whether or not to write this review considering the majority of you will have difficulty finding the product, but I like it too much to not tell you about it. If you can somehow get your hands on a tube, I'd certainly recommend it.

Obviously I don't own Gimme Brow from Benefit, but from all I've read about it I don't think this is an exact dupe, though it's a great alternative, especially as this one is vegan and costs considerably less.

P2 Gold & Crown Most Wanted Eyebrow Gel is available from DM stores in certain parts of Europe for around €2.65 while stocks last. Although it's not available to buy online, you can find some info from the DM website.

I hope you don't mind me telling you about a product that's hard to come by, and I hope that at least some of you will find this post helpful. If you have a favourite vegan eyebrow gel please let me know in the comments, I'd love to find one that's a bit easier to get hold of.
