Valley Mill Soaps | Mother-Daughter Review

As I've mentioned on multiple occasions, I have very problematic skin, especially on my hands. I have a number of allergies and two conditions that, if not treated very carefully, can be really painful and last months after a flare-up. With this in mind, I'm always on the lookout for natural hand soap because certain chemicals just make things worse. The hand-made soaps* from Valley Mill are as natural as you can get.

My Guest Post at Vegan Beauty Review

Vegan Beauty Review was the first blog I ever subscribed to. Long before Bloglovin' I used to get the amazing Sunny's posts delivered straight to my email account, so you can imagine the joy I felt when she asked if I'd like to write a post for her all about vegan make-up in the UK. Here's a slight glimpse of what I talked about, but to read the entire post and check out her blog (which I suggest you do because it's excellent and bursting with personality), follow this link.

Manicure Monday | Barry M - Rhossili

For those of you that are new to my blog (hello, and welcome) you may not be aware of what "Taff" means. It's a slang term used for people from Wales, which happens to be where I hail from, hence the name of my blog. You may not also know of my love for Barry M Nail Paints, so when the two are combined I felt like I had little choice but to buy whatever they were throwing at me. Rhossili is a matte nail polish from Barry M's summer 2014 collection, and it's also the name of a village in Wales.

All of the blogs listed here are ones that I read consistently and would recommend to anyone looking for more information on living cruelty-free.

New Blog Stationery

Ever since I was young enough to have a pencil case to take to school I've been ever so slightly obsessed with stationery. I used to collect erasers (or rubbers, as we knew them), and always had enough pens and pencils to supply the entire class, should they need them. I even got into my first fight with a boy over my felt pens. He wouldn't give them back and they were my favourites, of course, I was going to try and take them. Even though I'm well passed those days, my love for notebooks, fancy pens and anything personalised hasn't wavered so I was delighted when FastPrint* contacted me and asked if I'd like to try anything from their website.

Sinivalia Bentonite Detox Face Mask | Review & Giveaway

After almost bragging about the lack of spots I've had recently in this post, I was given my comeuppance in the form of a giant cystic spot right on my chin a couple of days later. It was one of those that's all red and angry, painful and throbbing, yet never forms a head. I put my usual spot-fighting treatments on it, but nothing would touch it. I then remembered that I had this Detox Face Mask* from Sinivalia, so though I'd try and draw it out with that.

Manicure Monday | Models Own Speckled Egg - Swan

Every now and then I fancy a bit of a change from my usual preference of créme nail polishes. Although I love having clean looking nails, I do fancy something a little more interesting now and again, but I'm terrible at nail art so rely on a good polish to do all the work for me. The Speckled Egg collection from Models Own is ideal for this, so this week I chose to wear Swan.

B. Sweet Candy Shop Collection Lipsticks

I'm a big fan of the regular lipsticks from B., so when I saw a couple of months ago that a new range was being released for summer I knew I had to get my hands on at least one of them. I ordered Orange Boom as soon as it was available online and was lucky enough to be sent Sherbert Dip* as a gift from the lovely people behind the B. Twitter account.

If you've been visiting my blog on Sundays over the last couple of months, you'll no doubt have noticed that I have a bit of a thing for photographing flowers. Manicure Monday | Ciaté - Play Date

As much as I love a straight-up red nail polish, in the summer I usually tend to choose shades with a bit of something different to them, something that makes it more season appropriate. Play Date from Ciaté is my not-quite-red of choice this summer.

Sinivalia Anti-Wrinkle Face Rose Cleanser

As you'll probably be aware by now, I have a couple of go-to cleansers that I use every single day. I'm a big fan of double cleansing and my skin looks healthier than it has in a long time because of it. However, every now and then I like to use something a bit lighter, especially if I haven't been wearing make-up. The Rose Cleanser* from Sinivalia is just the ticket for those times.

The Apps Changing Our Beauty Bags | Guest Post

From overflowing with make-up we're barely worn, to just being a downright conundrum, out beauty bags can often be the banes of our lives. Let's be honest, who of us haven't had a make-up meltdown when we can't decide which face to show the world today, or whether we should splurge on the big brands or save a few pennies on the budget options, or even if the brands we're using are ethical? There are so many questions that make beauty mind boggling!

I'm certainly no make-up expert, I've never had a make-up lesson in my life, and probably like most of you I just learnt from what I saw my mother doing to now getting experimental with the help of YouTube. Despite my age and online era we live in, I still feel a little clueless when it comes to beauty. But with the help of some clever clogs and a little gadgetry, there are some amazing beauty apps helping me get educated on the brands in my beauty bag, as well as helping me to wear more than one look. I've rounded up a few of my favourite FREE beauty apps in the hope that they may also help you!

Lush Bath Products for Sunny Days | Guest Post

To me, baths evoke scenes of warming up after a cold day with the wind and rain lapping at the window, but there's something to be said for taking a soak even when the warm weather kicks in. I'm Lucy from Lucy Loves Beauty and the lovely Kelly has been kind enough to let me share my favourite Lush bath products for sunny days with you!

Manicure Monday | Barry M - Cancun

Although I haven't really featured many matte nail polishes on the blog yet, I do have a special place in my heart for them, especially when they're something a little bit different. Cancun from Barry M is one of those polishes. It's unusual to find something both matte and summer appropriate, in my experience. I usually think of matte polish looking better in autumn/winter shades, but Cancun looks beautiful without the shine I'm so used to.

Valley Mill Passion Fruit Candle

It seems that almost every blogger is addicted to scented candles, and I'm no different. I have an ever-growing collection of scents and brands and am always looking for new vegan scents to add to it. I found a fantastic brand on Twitter recently called Valley Mill, who I'd not heard of before, but they sell handmade candles, gifts, soaps and more, all made right here in Wales. After talking to them they asked if I wanted to try out a couple of their products, obviously I jumped at the chance. They were kind enough to send me the Passion Fruit candle*, fruity scents are something that I'm seriously lacking in my collection so I was thrilled with that choice.

Sinivalia Aloe Vera Body Butter | Review & Giveaway

I have to admit, I've never really worried that much about chemicals in my beauty products, but with a recent flare up in a skin condition that's been in remission, I've been trying to use more natural products. I often apply hand and body creams several times a day, so that's what I thought I'd start with. The Aloe Vera Body Butter* from Sinivalia is as natural as you can get, there's just one ingredient, aloe vera butter.

My Experience with Glassesshop.com

I've been wearing glasses since I was 13, but have never really loved any of the styles I've had. Some of them were ok, some were good, but some were just plain terrible. I'm always excited to get a new prescription so I have an excuse to buy a new pair and hopefully find some that I really love, so when glassesshop.com* asked me if I wanted to try a pair of theirs I jumped at the chance.
